hey guys,
read a few threads, wondered if anyone could shed some more light. coming home this afternoon in my 172 the eml came on and the car went into safe mode. had to pull over. restarted the car and all fine. any advice? cheers!

Nope need to get it plugged into a Renault clip see if any fault has been logged.

Fuses,
Throttle body
Wiring
ECU
UCH
MAP sensor
TDC sensor
Knock sensor
Coil pack wet
Air temp sensor

cheers mate, just wanted to know the possibilities. she's been really playing up in all this wet weather.

Do you have an engine cover? might be water getting on the coil pack, or in some of the other electrics

thanks, yeh it's got an engine cover.

spray the engine with WD40! that should sort it

That happened to mine, turned out to be the TPS, unplugged it, cleaned it and sprayed with WD40, been fine ever since

I dunno what car you have but on mine it's a fly by wire throttle, and it's literally the thing that plugs into it, can't miss it really

mine has been doing this. Just got it back today after 2 weeks at renault. Throttle body and ECU replaced

is the car okay now? i live in Kent, what renault did you take it to and how much?
