Car  An old banger!


may have been talked about before!! but whats your opinions on buying a second hand 172 thats been imported? whats an import? differences etc???:confused:
 


i decided to just go uk in the end, but each to their own, what swyaed me is the warranty i have heard some bad storys on imports - not all but some
 


really? would i not have warranty on an importedcar which was 6months old?

You should be fine assuming you get it registered with Renault you will have the normal 3 yr warently.

Some garages can be awquard but then again there awquard with UK cars as well so you cannot blame them on being import cars.

And as long as its an EU import. There were some imported not too long ago from Malta (I think), and warranty was only a year.
 


Well Cyprus was my first choice ... but then I decided that since Greece is in the EU at least of part of Cyprus is probably in the EU :confused:
 


As did the Republic of Cyprus for that matter! Google dont you just love it!!

Mines an import from France and it had two years warranty left on it. The imports dont have alarms, just immobilisers - so youll have to bear that in mind as extra cost.

Theyre much cheaper though.
