172 induction noise

will fitting a panel filter to my 172 make a loud induction noise or will i only get induction roar from an induction kit?

You'll get some roar from fitting a panel filter and removing the acoustic valve/airfeed to the airbox. Otherwise you'll need an induction kit.

nope, loads of people have done it.

search it on here theres loads but comes down to 2 options

1) open induction = noise but heat soak
2)closed induction = less noise but no heat soak

panel filters will give a slight noise! the good thing about a phase 1 is you only have to pull the 2 air feeds off and youve got noise for FREE
