172 Intake Manifold on a 182

Are the intake manifolds on the 172 same as the one in the 182?

Reason I ask is, I bought the fuel rail guard (mine is missing off my 182) and it came with the upper and lower intake manifold parts and the breather plate.

They were taken off a 172 but the listing said they would fit a 182. However, I've now come across some posts which have suggested that although they are very similar, there are differences so it's not recommended to put a 172 intake manifold on a 182.

Was hoping that it would be an opportunity to send the new intake manifold off for painting whilst not having to take the current one of the 182 and not being able to drive it.

Thanks

Okay now I'm confused.

So the breather plate in the 182 doesn't have that sticking up bit, but the phase 2 172 breather plate does?

If so, I've got the 172 breather plate on my 182?

So I'm thinking I've got a 172 engine with the 172 phase 2 upper inlet manifold and breather plate in my 182. So it's had an engine swap at some point which I didn't know about.

The upper inlet manifold currently on the car has one pipe out the back and no big hole.

So I've accidently bought the correct parts for an engine I didn't know was in my car 😂
