172 Mapping

Power Engineering, Uxbridge

Superchips operate out of there and have done mine and Roamers. Not cheap tho...around £350

although PE did Roamers mapping for the throttle bodies.

did superchips actually "MAP" your car of did they just change the chip in the ECU..

interested as they never used to set each car up individually.

Is there are any way to actually "map" the standard ECU and set the car up on the rollers?!

SuperChips London (Power Engineering unit) do map on the rollers, they have to request a map change, download it from superchips then upload it into your car and run it again, but they can do it.

Alternatively get a new ecu - Omex do a nice one ;)

you can get piggy back units like dantec etc that are you can map, these work much better than a standard chip as there is much more room for mods and the ecu can be fine tuned to your car and your spec...

costwise they are a little more than the plug in chips etc but if 2 months down the line you change the zorst etc you then dont have to buy a new chip you can just make a few minor mods to the map to optimise the new component... much better
