172 Mis-firing / jumpy revs in low..........

  Clio 182 Trophy. No. 189
..............gears (mainly first when pulling away). Car still feels ok once I get past say 1.5k revs.

Situation - this seems to have got worse over time - I have replaced spark plugs, air filter, cleaned TB, etc but wondering what else to try?

Assume I should replace HT leads and the coil?

Renault CLIP could not find any faults.

Can anyone please give me some advice as my money is draining away...........

Thanks

Also no engine warning lights and I would say on idle it is struggling.

Thanks

I had a problem very similar to this on my old punto. Turned out to b the HT leads.

Gotta be worth a try before changing a coil?

Renault said oxy sensors were ok so ruling that out for the mo.

Cheers for the replies, will try HT leads / air leaks then off to get a coil..............

.........its driving me nuts! Any updates please let me know. Ordered some new leads so trying that first.

If I order a few parts can I return them if they don't cure the problem?

Thanks

I'm having the same problem on my 182 :-( has got alot worce though since I put the decat on so that's making me think it's defo the front lambor

When I had it in the dinostics checker it came up with the lambors

try tdc sensor/camshaft sensor controls the timing.

I have read this may affect the starting of the car, mine starts first time every time so hoping this sensor is ruled out.

Any thoughts?

New leads, coil pack and lambda arrive next week so process of elimination coming up!

Tried a new coilpack with no difference hence returned that.

HT leads arrive tomorrow so that is next on my list.

Has anyone else had a lambda problem and it was NOT detected on Renaults CLIP system?

They did say that they were tested too without any negative readings.

Help!
