172 mk1 standard induction

I know the standard exhausts on the mk1s are fairly free flowing, but what about the standard induction setup? Is it fairly efficient or would a panel filter / induction kit make a significant difference?

Panel filter will make a difference, induction kit will be hampered by engine bay heat and potentially make it slower!

I have a Green cotton filter on mine, dont really notice much difference apart from the increase of roar from the engine
