172 Mk2 - Replacing dog chewed antenna

My dog decided it would be amusing to jump on the roof of my car and chew the antenna off. I obviously didnt get the joke.

He managed to rip off the part that screws on and the part it actually screws into. Seperated that part from the wiring I think. The base is still there even though its a bit chewed. Whats involved in replacing it ? Because the antenna in on the rear of the roof Im assuming I have to remove the headling? How do I do this ? Ive ordered what i think is everything including the base and the wiring right to the stereo but do I need all of that ? Any help would be much appreciated :)

Cheers

BTW: welcome to clio sport :)

The wiring came with the base so I couldnt order it sperately. My two main Qs are how does the wiring connect to the base given its had the antenna part ripped out ?

And is pulling the headling off to get to the bolt a nightmare ? Or getting it back on would more so I imagine

You need to undo the bolt from the inside of the car to take the base off i think, to get to the bolt, clip of the plastic part inside the car that has the interior light and alarm light init and you will have access to the bolt, think it will be a matter of undoing it and putting the new one in. not sure tho, maybe someone else will no.

hope this helps m8

Thats how it works on the MK1 Clios I think but the antenna on the MK2s is at the rear with a large area of soft headling where the bolt would be. To get to that I assume I have to pull the edge bit away and the whole thing would sorta sag down... unless its clued or somethinf. But knowing me I wouldnt be able to get it back on properly.
