172 MK2 - what tyres do you have

Cant make my mind up.

205/45/16 or 215/40/16 tyres. Exalto 2 or F1-GSD3.

What tyres do you have ? Thanks.

i have a mk1 172 and i have exalto 2s on mine.

cant fault them mate....not at all !

F1 seem to get good reviews so there the ones Id go for in the normal 172 size.

IMHO 215/40s are a bad idea.

205/45 is a good balance but 195s are so much cheaper.

i had 195-45 eagle f1s on my old cup, cracking tyres and only cost me about £60 each

Well ive managed to rid my tyres of their shoulders, so im in the market too. Let me know what you decide and where you get them from mate

a tyre 20mm wider will be sat like this \_/ on the rim, 10mm isnt so bad but 20 isnt a great idea lets put it that way. not to mention if the car is lowered its more likely to have the tyre sidewall hitting arch lips etc when cornering hard

After careful consideration have decided to go with Exalto 205/45/16 tyres.

Ive got toyo ts1s on mine ..good tyres in the dry but i think Exalto will be better
