what are the best mods for more acceleration (0-60 times) for a mk 2 172 ?

Decat is probably the most cost effective way to improve performance...Cost me a whopping 15 pounds to get mine done and the difference between my 172 and others on the track is quite large

Well, the quickest, cheapest & easiest way is to shed weight...

The lighter you can make the car, the better the power-to-weight ration and when 172 drivers strip their cars for RWYB events they get quicker times & faster terminal speeds!



In terms of mods, a sealed induction kit (Viper, BMC, Hill Power, etc), de-cat, performance exhaust and a chip/ECU will really help things out!
