  SLK 350
Fitted my FK's on monday, was a b**ch to do tbh for a few reasons, getting my tracking and camber sorted tomorrow. Thought i'd put some pics up anyway, car is dirty (sorry detailers).

Enjoy!

Looks ace! Your wheels are mint compared to mine too..... What exhaust have you got?

You haven't seen the passenger front mate, kerbed to hell (previous owner ofc.). My exhaust is a custom s/s from CCR who supply Hillpower.

Can I ask a really dumb question? What is camber?

Camber is the angle of the wheels to the road. So most cars are set at a right angle to the floor. I want mine set to -1 degree negative, which will improve handling and turn-in, but also increases tyre wear.

Cheers for the comments, back is lowest it will formally go, although i could drop it some more. However it's still settling so for now ill leave it.

You need to be that low aswell!

Car looks mint though. Is that as low as they go at the back?

Lol, nah going about 10mm higher than this.

1 degree neg camber for me.

LOL @ Peter Crouch

BTW - Tyre gel i used was Turtle Wax Extreme Tyre Gel afaik. Need some new fronts soon though, the shoulders are hammered. Not sure whether to go back to 195 F1 GS-D3, or keep them on 205 PE2's, theres £20 difference per corner.

Not sure on the measurement from standard as prior to these my car had Koni+Eibachs so was already 25mm~ lower.

If anybody wants to measure up their standard 172 from the floor to the middle of the arch, i'll happily put in the measurements on mine for comparison.

Ride, well tonight i'll be able to give a better opinion, as today i've just had it laser aligned and the camber set. In truth I haven't ragged it yet, as i didn't want to screw my tyres up anymore than i had to. Also need to get the front off again and sort out the front, either by further cutting away the offending pieces of arch liner, or by raising the front up another 10mm.

Reason being, currently when i go over a bump at reasonable pace, and i happen to be cornering i get front rubbing a little, also struggling to get on and off my girlfriends drive so could do with a little more clearance.

They will go lower, the back will lower another 10-15mm, and the fronts are currently half way on the threading - basically you could have the front bumper on the ground if you so wished, but without taking out the arch liners completely you'll struggle with any lower than i have now, already cut a chunk of it away.

Initial thoughts on the handling are superb, currently got the shocks set to 50% firmness, ride is very good, very little roll, and still comfortable - compared to my Koni's/Springs setup.
