172 or 182?

  Ph 1 172
right im looking to buy a new car and im gonna get a 172 or 182. the thing is apart from the extra 10bhp or whatever it is... is there much difference to the spec of the car, handling or anything like that or is it just the same car with a bit more grunt and different looks?

Owned both. 182 hanldes better, but 172's are such good value I'd be tempted to go for a 172 + coilovers. I'm gonna be getting another clio in the next few weeks, flame red 172 for me.

  172 Cup
i was asking the same question about 2 months back, and purchased a 172 cup.....dont for one seconds regret it either

I've owned both and personally think the 182 is the better car. Lots of small differences add up to a more complete car IMO. Except for the silver seatbelts I f**king hate em, lol.

**be warned**...the 172 Cup doesn't have a spare tyre either. Or traction control. Or climate control. Or ABS.

This car may seriously damage your health***

***. If you can't drive.

  BG 182
The 182 comes in a better range of colours, but I dont think there's much in it to be honest, the 182 go for more and your more likely to find one with a lower milage on it..

I've owned a PH2 172 and i currently own a 182 with cup packs . It's basically the same car , cosmetic differences on the 182 are the twin exhausts , alloys , usually anthracite as most have cup packs ,larger rear spoiler ,front splitter and silver seat belts .

Performance , no difference .

Handling , the 182 handles better imo . Slightly wider track , slightly lower and stiffer suspension and wider better gripping tyres ( Michelin Exaltos ) .

Both are good cars , but if i had to choose it would be the 182 with both cup packs .
