172 PH1 cambelt kit ect!

Hi all, can anyone tell me what seems to be a fair price for a cambelt kit to be fitted, tensioners ect too! on a ph1 172!

Where abouts are you based? a renault specialist such as rentech northwest performance will do it for a fraction of a price from a main stealer, i reckon your looking at £300-350 for full kit plus fitting

Im in the midlands! seen a genuine kit on fleabay for abot 180! +fitting! cant remember exact price i could be wrong?:S

thats non gen, same stuff just not in renault boxes! renault cardboard is the most expensive stuff in the world!

genuine is + £50 pointless using genuine though, you get 12months parts and labour from me regardless of what you have

Not sure if this would be any cheaper for you but can get a cambelt kit from here http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/R...bc73821f295f6103f277a800be95e930c06fe4a8&TBLK for under £100. Depends how cheap you can get the labour only for.

Cheers I'll shop around for the cambelt.

Aux belt Kit sounds about right though? I thought it was a bit steep as the belt on it's own is only £20 ish? The tensioner is what costs the most.

My local Ren dealer was roughly £470 for the full aux and cam belt kit change genuine parts obviously
