172 phase 1 to phase 2?

what would i need to transform my clio into a phase 2, just in the looks department anyway, i like the look of the phase 2 more, what parts would i need, is it worth it?

Its worth it tif thats what you want to do.
Parts depends what bits ie none sport or Sport you want but say £1.5k after painitng for new parts or £800 for second hand bits.
You need the wings (£40 each) arch liners (assuming your keeping them) Bumper, grill, bonnet.
Thats assuming yuo keep the stanrd light you can get the zeons to work but it will be excpensive second hand bits are about £300 and thats without the washer bits you'd need to sort (assuming you want them).

Bumper @ about 150, wings @ about 100 for the pair, lights @ about 300 for xenons or 100-150 for halogen, bonnet about 75, sidestrips @ about 75, rear bumper about 100 then spraying on top about 400 notes.
All in about 1200 notes i'd say.
Is it worth? Do you love your car enough. Surely you can sell yours and get the real deal for not much more than the 1200 difference there.

probably best to sell your original classic 172 and buy one of the newer more common ones

the price to change will be about the same as buying and spraying the parts to make it work.

probably better value for money selling yours and buying a newer one.

I wouldn't bother if it was me but if you really fancy it, don't forget you could also sell the parts you are replacing to fund it.

they are cheap as chips now anyway.
seen 2 for under 5 k on ebay this week that aren't on the register.
one a 51 plate the other an 02 plate.

If you want to convert do the Mk1 is the better car IMO both suspension and response wise. I'm not the only person to hold this view but the Mk2 IMO looks better so a Mk2 bodies MK1 is a great idea.
