172 Problem :(

I was driving to work this morning in my 172 and i notice the service light and the traction control light has come on. Ive only had the car a month now and it had a 12k mile service at renault before i got my hands on it. The Car is an 02 plate.

Any further light on this matter much appreciated.

Hmmm traction control light? Serv and Airbag light means pre-tensioner cables, but never heard of the tc light coming on?

It needs to be plugged in to diagnose the fault mate.

Needs to go back to the dealer.

problems on that system are rare so let your dealer have a look.

I had the ABS and SERV light come on after a RR session.

Turned it off and back on again, thats it all sorted again.

you would because of the front wheels are turning but the rears are not so the system would see that as a fault.

Traction Control? Has the 172 got Traction control? If so how do ya turn it off?

Never noticed any power drops when screeching it round corners.....

traction control is part of the esp system. has yours got esp? there is usually a button on a panel to the left hand side of the dashboard to turn off tc.
