172 splitter, standard or not?

Car  Audi A3
As the question really.

Ive got a non cupped 172 that's got a plain black soft plastic splitter on it. Did these come with them standard or was it just the cups.

Done a search and couldn't find the answer. Only asking as it's looking worn and if it's not standard it's coming off!

I don't think they were standard on non-cups. The cup splitter is hard plastic too... off with it! Get a nice new Skoda one!

Can you get a pic of your splitter?

From your description is sounds like you may have a Skoda Fabia splitter on there already,
if so £12quid will get you a new one.

i heard skoda splitters are the way forward...dont think they are a direct fit....just need a bit of jiggery pokery & they'll fit :)

ive been thinking about a skoda splitter, but are they a bugger to fit?

It looks like a Peugeot 406 splitter because it bulges out.

Skoda splitters do take a bit of modifying, but it's just a case of cutting the end of the tabs off,
and then getting some self tapping screws and starting in the middle and working your way to the ends,
then you just cut the excess of the ends and you're done.

I drilled the pilot holes in my splitter so I didn't have to screw through it to get to the bumper.

The splitters only came with the cups. Hence the name 'cup splitters'.

Shame Renault what around £150 for them :dapprove:

ahh good point on the name thing, hadnt thought of that!

Dave, cheers mate, appreciate you digging that out for me
