172 to a 182

hey every one , is it worth upgrade ing the cat and maifold for the 4-2-1 and sport car , and then in so converting froma 172 up to a 182, system , with the aftermatet power flow system with 6x4 ovel on back box. or is it jsut a wate of money and jsut go for a 172 sports cat, ??

Maybe just going for the 182 manifold, decatting it and then getting mapped. I'd personally try and get hold of a 2nd hand manifold though, pretty expensive new.

yer i know but npot seen any one here .in the theroy if the number are any thik to go buy probly not . well be 172 to 182 with the converstion then the remap gess to go 182 - 195 , if wehat s on the k-tec site is any think to go buy , but who know with out haveit done lol , just ideas prob wont even bother and stay as i am and jsut get a sports car for 180.00 from power flow insted of 1300 for the rest of the bits

You'd be pushing it abit to get 195 just from the manifold/decat and a remap. Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't you need ITBs to gain those sort of figures?

if the figers are right from k-tec cus i have no idea , just looked that the 182 maped got to 195 or some think like that ,and with the cat and maifold will take me to 182 any way plus if i have any extra from my system i have all ready, lol but it all could be not worth bothering with and i just get a power flow sports cat for 180.00 and buy my mrs some thing nice

IMO and from experience its worth it but not at Ktec's price and not if your only keeping the car for a couple of years.

BTW, you cant add up bhp mods and come out with a total figure. It dosent work like that

What bhp are you running at the mo? Coz it sure wont be 169bhp which they should be as standard.

So your expecting 30bhp from an exhaust + manifold, remap and sports cat? Thats if you are running the book figure, which IMO you wont be.
