I have since bought Williams #161 at the weekend, and i have to say its a awesome little car, its had a hell of a lot of love in the past - its immaculate.

They are the only pictures i have at the moment, haven't had any chance to take any, so these are from the previous owner.

Williams one is it? That's the rareist of the three if I remember right. Backwards in terms of performance, but loads street cred and character in the old girl

I think you did the right thing by getting a Williams 1. I might of seen the pics of this one on PH/WC.

Yeah she is a Williams 1, the bloke i bought it off was on WC, but wasn't a active poster, i purchased it through PH.

Its a stunning car, performance wise its not far off the Cup.

Don't think you'll find much difference in performance. My 3 was the same as a 172 Cup. I also raced a Williams 3 in my 172 and upto high speeds there was no difference again.

Ive not really properly driven it yet, been taking it quite easy, but there seems to be much more torque in each gear, it pulls in them all much stronger than the cup did. The engine revs in a completely different manner to the cup, there seems to be power throughout the rev range, rather than the kick after 5k i had in the cup. Its a special occasion every time i get in her :)

I loved your Cup, but as long as the Williams turns out to be reliable I'm sure it'll be a good move.

my hybrid will spank a 172 so im not sure where all the "backwards" in performance is coming from. looks nice mate, and its a Willy 1 too.

I don't think so, my williams would have pissed all over the ph2's! Really wish I'd have run my williams up against my 172 before I sold it.

Well not pissed but as you say its much better low down - at high speeds the williams would pull much better than the mk2's i've driven - would hit the raised limiter with ease.

Nice car, seen it around willyclio.
