172 Vs Astra 2.0 SRI

not sure mate, i was just looking at the figures on an Xreg-ish one on whatcar valuations and said tht the astra had 192bhp.. i was shocked lol.

Low-pressure version of the GSI's engine IIRC.

They use it in the current Astra... not 100% on the previous gen though.

if its 192 bhp then it'll be an SRI-turbo. no quicker than a 172 to 60

N/A's are slow. A 172 would pull quite easily.

My Bro has the 2.2 16v.

Its slower than my 172

There for the 2.2 has 15 odd bhp more than the 2.0, the 2.0 will be slower.

Astra H 2.0 Turbo was available in 170bhp and now 190bhp. Not that quick tbh, same lump as a VXR but with a different turbo and injectors IIRC.

My derv with tuning box pisses all over it tbh.

Mod the gsi and it would rape the 172 as it's the same engine as a vxr.

thats it only 500 sri turbos they came with no leather etc unlike the gsi
