Car  An old banger!
could someone tell me the diameter and tyre size of standard 172 sport wheels cheers
 
Will 205 45 26's go on this size wheel?

I have a set of 172 rims and want to put my old PE2's on them for track tyres.

I think a 26" tyre might be a bit big!!

205/45/16's will fit fine though. Do a search for '205/45/16' and you'll find plenty of threads confirming.
