Some 172 have it, my 02 reg doesnt, but at some later point they had it with traction and esp I think

the later 172s defo came with esp as my mums 03 plate one has it. My 02 model did not.

Ye, the little indents on the steering wheel centre bit is where the buttons normally go to control it.

try this (on a quiet motorway)

set cruise to 120mph. Slow down to 50, select 4th gear.

take a deep breath, and hit "R"

Any 172 manufactured (not delivered) after august 2003 will have cruise control.
