greetings fellow geeks.

Well this week has been a good one and a bad one. Got lots done on the car....

-Fitted standard valver seats and seatbelts (for the ring, buckets not viable)
-Fitted new inlet manifold, new coil pack, new plugs and new HT leads
-Removed some more sound proofing and carpet
-Managed to break the fuel tank... (theres a thread!)
-Raised the suspension up an inch but tbh it still needs to go up more.
-Ordered 2nd hand driveshaft Taking ages to arrive!)

Well here some really s**t pics of what i've been doing... I'm sorry but this is no f0xy or Whiteley thread! lol.

Moved some cars out, set up my workspace!

Seat out

new fuel rail guard on, new HT leads and new coilpack and bracket on

After a couple of coats of silver, and all fitted back together...

NOTE!!! My 'mate' stenciled 172 on the radiator. I wouldn't have minded but he used black touch up paint!! Thick gloopy touch up paint!

Anyway, thats it. Nothing else to say until I get the driveshaft and the fuel tank problem sorted.

Cheers.

Really love these conversions! If I had the time, money or space I would give this a crack myself!

Hope you get it all sorted soon fella!

You know you said you took the buckets out because the of the Ring Rules. Well people on other forums have been to the ring this year with out of date buckets and out of date harnesses and they didnt even get looked at.

So if you took is out because of that then bash the seat back in :)

Car looks wicked, i saw it many many many moons ago.

Cheers mate.

The reason behind the seat swap was all to do with the harnesses. The harnesses I bought are designed to wrap around a cage/harness bar. To get the cage delivered, painted, door bars added etc etc was too much of an ask 8 weeks from going to the ring when i've got to get the thing road legal first! So I bought some well worn phase 1 valver seats and belts just so me and my passenger have a comfortable journey! lol.
