182 36k service ???

182 had its 36k service today , it cost £280 (harratts renault pontefract)

they did not change (forgot) the auxillery belt (which to my knowledge is part of the 36k service)

when i told them that it should have been changed they told me that it would be at "an extra cost" anyway - if this is the case why does the service cost £280 instead of the usual £140 (for 12k & 24k service)

should the aux belt be included in the service cost?

would appreciate your comments before i contact renault UK

would be interested to know too as mine is approaching 34k so mine is also just around the corner.

I was considering going renault specialist this time though as i know they always ask you to bend over to administer the 36k service.

According to this article , it should be £100 on top of a normal service for the aux belt doin' !
Looks like they might have charged ya and not done it

Wait for some more posts , and see what others have to say . Either way i'd be pretty f*ckin mad cos its supposed to be done at 36k , so how the f*ck can they " forget to do it "

Just had my 172's 36k service done today. Standard service price I was quoted didn't include AUX belt at any of the 3 garages I called.

AUX belt was £76.10 extra (Renault in Swindon)
36k Service was £250.

Plus I needed some power steering sensor changing (£70) and a new rear exhaust bracket (£35).

Feel like I've been ripped off somehow, but they were the cheapest when I phoned around for quotes.

Going back in next week for new rear pads and discs boo hoo. my wallet hurts.

I too don't really understand why the AUX belt is an "extra" cost when it clearly states it should be done at 36k..

mines booked in for 2 weeks time.

£213.18 this 'should' include the aux belt.

plus I'm getting the rattly front suspension looked at.
