I noticed that when I cleaned my floor mats the other day that the accelerator goes a little further, and almost clicks down an extra notch. Is this what you're calling the kick-down switch?
If so, what does it do? Because when my mats are in the car they block the pedal going this far.

Oh right, thanks for confirming. I'm not really fussed about that as I like pressing the off button on the wheel to turn it off

It's drops in another camshaft. 50bhp. At the wheels.

It's that extra bit of travel that cancels the speed limiter. To use it you have to push the pedal a little harder than usual. The problem I'm having is that the pedal stays all the way down past the extra bit even when I take my foot off. Has no-one else had this problem before? I assumed it was a known issue
