182 Aux belt

I'm in the middle of doing my alternator and I'm a bit stuck with the aux belt tensioner - I've done it before but can't for the life of me remember how.

The square drive is broken - I'm sure last time I put a jubilee round to hold it and undid the tensioner, but I cant get a ratchet in there.

Suggestions?

If the metal square has broken. Replace it.

Hmmm.
I seemed to manage ok, except with the tensioner spring back on, the spring seems to touch the belt as it comes off the pas pulley?
