182 cosmetic mods - opinions

Car  Clio 182
Considering mixing traditional and modern clio styling with a seemingly simple project just wanting some opinions.

My car is Arctic Blue metallic. What I want to do is put on gold alloys (in the clio williams mold) and get the competition stripes (a la 182 cup) but in gold to match the wheels. Also considering removing the 2.0 16v badge on the drivers door and having those sprayed gold as well.

What do you think?

Not my cup of tea to be honest. It may be an idea to ask someone to 'shop your ideas before you actual put them into practice.

You could also go for the awful gold badging like they do on older Lexus's and Hondas, to complete the image!

I think it would 'date' the look of the car, tbh....

D.

what about gold tailpipes a gold grill and a gold sunstrip for that finishing touch now that would look prper brown bread

Hey I might be a maxpower forum member as well but i thought what i was suggesting might have been appreciated for being both subtle (or reasonably subtle) and conforming to renaults hot hatch heritage.

I would hardly describe myself as a boy racer (police officer and boy racer tend not to sit together very well!) but if anyone has any constructive suggestions as to what would be good cosmetic modifications and where to get them from that would be appreciated!

IMHO changing the wheels is the only external modification the 182 requires

everything else just seems to come across as cheap and tacky, and no offence intended, but them mods would be very tacky. the heritage of renault isn't specifically the williams, that was a one off model that attracted a cult following due to it's abilities. but in essence was a modified valver (yes i know it's a well modified car)

as people keep telling us here, modifying is about being unique....... in all honesty, after seeing the kits available for the mk2, i'd rather stick with being a boring nobody, whose car actually looks far better than the modified versions

Mk3 is the one thats just come out. 182 is Mk2 albeit slightly facelifted.

I just don't think the 182 is a car that accepts visual mods very well, but I'm sure someone could proove me wrong! As said, wheels can make a big difference and sorting out the double peashooter at the back!
