182 cruise control

It's doesn't always work when u turn it on. The speed limiter always works no matter what. But cruise control is intermittant n doesn't alway turn on. Is it a common problem. Bern bk to Renault a voue of times n funny enough it always works when they have it.... Changed the switch n worked for a week everytime but then the other day it didn't work. And when u turn it on n off it usually works again

any1 any ideas on this? Or is it just the fact that's it's a Renault n will do this time to time

Neither of mine work. I can select them both with the toggle switch but can't set speed for either with my steering wheel. Haven't got a clue why.

Thats what I done my speed limiter works everytime n but cc doesn't starting to piss me off

Seems weird how it works sometimes but not others, who changed the switch? i'd be inclined to test it.

renault just swopped the switch over

after searchng on here and google, i think i may of found the problem...

led tail/brake light bulbs i have fitted, appartently the cruise control checks to see if the brake light works by checking the resistance of the bulbs/wire and coz led bulbs run lower than normal bulbs it thinks the bulbs dont work and hense stops the cruise control working apparently....

changed back to normal bulbs last night coz the testing begins... will let u know how it goes,

so if people have led bulbs/lights and dodgey cruise control that renault/garages cant fix it might be worth doing this test....

yep, crusie control has worked everytime since i put normal non led bulbs back in.

any1 with CC problems, check your brake lights! and take them out if they r led...

i have this issue where works sometimes then sometimes does not. I have silver visions fitted and have noticed the brake light warning sometime semi illuminates, will check the rear end

Sweet I have led bulbs in for brake light now I know why my cruise control is intermitent, but a choice of cc over led bulbs?? I choose led lol
