Well just got back from bruntingthorpe, 230 mile trip :dead:. Was an excellent day really enjoyed my self and has made me certain of doing a track day this year. First off it was nothing like i was expecting, with the posts on here i was thinking they were gonna thrash it round and kill it, oh no.
Arrived at about 9.15 and was first in then a guy turned up with a 306 rallye then followed by a integra DC2 TR and a Fiat coupe turbo. Matt who was supposed to be dealing with the feature had some other shoot to go to so he was replaced by a lovely girl called Vicky who test drove the cars (and really knows how to drive, i think im in love
). We started off with taking pics of the cars in formation around the track at about 30mph, then moved on to some panning shots with us just beside each other, this was done at the end of the runway and we had to get back up to the top
Me and the coupe turbo gave it some but he raped me then let off at about 90mph i carried on to 110 then it started to aquaplane, then a bit of poo came out.
Vicky took the cars round at a reasonable pace to get a feel for the cars but it was so wet she wasn't really trying. The cornering shots were taken while we waited under a 747. Then we made our way to take the detail shots of the car and our mug shots
. While these were being taken Vicky took us out in our cars to see what they are like on the road, and returned for us to be taken back down the runway to where the static shots of all the cars together were taken. After them we were at the bottom of the runway agian. This time we had ourself's a drag race which i lost to the integra and the coupe turbo. In my defence it was me and my old man in the car and we aint the lightest of chaps.
The issue is out on the 5th of Febuary i think they said, i took a few pics but iv only put up a couple of mine so not to take anything away from the feature.
