182 ECU on 172 ph1

  Clio 182
Not sure if the title is what I wanted to be.
The story goes like this: I owned a RS 182 which met a huge tree. The car was badly damaged so I decided to take the engine and install it on another car. The fact is the other car has the electric installation as the one on the 172 ph1, which means I have to replace the throttle body from the engine with a mechanical one.
So, what I wanted to know is if I can copy the software from 182's ECU to the ECU I own and make it work with a mechanical throttle body. I think this is the biggest question: can the 182's ECU work with that throttle?
There is also an easier solution: just take the 172 ECU and replace the ECU I own at the moment, replace the throttle body with the mechanical one and it should work. It is easier, not sure if it is cheaper, but surely not. But, I think I'd lose some hp and this is a problem.

Can someone give me the best solution?

Yes, it's doable, but it will need playing with my someone with ecu programming know how.
Same as fitting itb's to a ph2 172 / 182
