182 ego- what can be adjusted?

Car pulls a bit to the left so thought I would get tracking done but wondered if a quick visit to quick fit would do... Sure they can do basic wheel alignment and no point going somewhere more specialised if there is little foe adjustment possible with the standard cup suspension I have on my 182??

Without spending money on up rated parts you are limited to front toe, thrust angle. For £20 fit some camber bolts but it will more than likely cost more at the alignment for adding another set of adjustments.

Or have a search in Google for "stringing a car". I've not actually done it yet but I have read a bit about it and I think I'm going to give it a bash. If I do, I will try and make a guide for on here.

Adjusting toe is unlikely to sort a pulling issue. It's still worth doing as a matter of investigation, but ask that the suspension is checked for play before doing any adjustments.

If it pulls strongly to one side, usually something is worn (most likely track rod end or lower arm balljoint). Alternatively the tyres could just be worn unevenly/odd pressure, or something else tyre related.

If all checks out with toe alignment a full geo-check should show up if something in the steering/suspension is bent (you'd know if you'd bent something, so thats unlikely), but as standard only front toe is adjustable.

bear in mind, all cars track with road camber to a greater or lesser degree, moreso with stiff, low profile tyres and/or stiff suspension. Clio's particularly so. It could just be thye crown of the road?

I don't know where you live but most places you will find someone who does a 4 wheel alignment and give you a printout for free. From that they should be able to tell you why the car is steering left.

Please don't take your car to Kwik Fit!
I really don't get that statement. If it is the nearest place then just take it there. It is as good as anywhere else for toe adjustment.
As long as it is done to within tolerance, what's the problem? I find it funnier that people pay a stupid amount elsewhere.
Kwikfit use Hunter eqpt. It is tracking which any monkey can do and you get a printout to show the result. Yes other jobs I wouldn't trust them with but they are fine for simple jobs.
