182 Engine/gearbox mounts longevity

  Clio Trophy
How many miles would you expect OEM mounts to last? Mine were last changed at 85k miles and the car is now on 128k miles.

Didn't realise it had been 43k miles since and have got the impression recently that the gear change is a bit sloppier than it was. Is 40k miles+ a good innings?

The lower dogbone mount doesn't look that robust, so i suspect 3/4 years is probably about right. A poly bush might last longer.
It could also be the gear linkage bushes...

The old dogbone mount was polybushed and I replaced the whole thing back then- the car had a short shift kit fitted as well and it was abysmal so I wanted to get everything back to standard.

Might just get everything changed again and get the gear linkage bushes checked too. Have also noticed a knock when starting the car as the engine rocks and allows the exhaust manifold to hit off the subframe.
