182 engine in a mk1

Can anyone help??? I am looking to put a 182 engine in my valver and just wanted to know if anyone has done it before and if i should look out for anything when doing it????

Has been done with a 172 engine - there's pics somewhere on the forum of a french white one.

I think Nick Hill is doing one at the moment?

Good luck though, I can't imagine it will be easy! :S

Definately been done before, but there aren't many in the UK IIRC. The frech one mentioned had a 172 engine with the 172 interior in the Mk1 as well. I think Danlp6 might be doing a 172 conversion at the moment, but not 100% about that.

If your gonna do an engine swap you might as well put a decent one in lol

agree, putting in a more expensive engine which you will have hassle with fitting, especially electronics....when an F7R drops striaght in and is just as fast for less.
