182 faulty shock

  tiTTy & SV650

Anyone else had a faulty shocker on their 182? I dont have the cup suspension pack... & my offside rear shocker burst on me a few weeks back! not good on a 6 month old car, put it down to manufacturing issues!!!

Your bount to get some manurfacturing errors and theyll always turn up in the first few month.

I dont think anyone has had a problem as such with them except for normal wear and tear.

yeah, was a pain cause I was 300 miles from home at the time and 300 miles from the closest Renault Dealer who had a shock in stock.

I work in Manufacturing so can appreciate that these things happen.

Arnold Clark Bishopbriggs near Glasgow sorted me out on a Saturday morning, good service all round.

how do u know if a shock blows? what happens to the car?

sorry if im bein stupid!
Youll notice a knocking coming from the corner of the car, if you look under the car and see liquid on the shaft of the shocker its most likely an oil leak. It gets worse as it loses more fluid. Until it bangs about. Its safe to drive but I chose not to, (didnt fancy a 300 mile drive trying to take it easy!)
