yes mate.because there plastic.that why they bend when you lean against it.

Errm, is that true? I wondered why mine flexed a lot when i was polishing it.

The wings are plastic yep.

Ive always wondered about the 172/182 paint on the wings they always seem to look like they have been resprayed its wierd.

try parking under a street light - front wings look a nightmare, first time i did this i thought id been sold a duffer that had been resprayed, the longer ive had the car the less i notice it

my early mark 1 172 had a plastic bonnet too but they seemed to can it quite early.

imagine it was meant to save weight

Same as! got a silver one like in the pic, parked it under a street lamp and thougt, "b******s! thats why it took Reanult so long to get it allowed into the country, they f**ked it up and had to get it fixed! ill kill them!"

Its a total shocker but only seems to be on the silver 182s not the blues or blacks. and its not coz the wings are plastic, my other two clios 1.2 and 1.6 dynamiques were silver and they looke a uniform colour under street lighting

Artic blue is the same lads, but not as noticable.

I recon they are probably sprayed at a different time and meet up with the rest of the car body on final assembly.

yeah thats what i thought / think, that the plastics are sprayed at a differnt time to the rest of the car, this means that the "fleck or sparkle" in the paint goes a slightly differnt way to the rest of the car. thats why cars that have ben smacked up look wrong and are easy to tell which bits have been fixed
