  Clio 182

Hi i have a 54 plate 182 which so far i have found great, the only thing is that when the car is left for a day or two in damp weather the hand brake seems to stick on,does anyone have the same problem??

dont worry mate

its with the bad weather

all cars with rear discs get this! when the disc gets wet the bind on every so slightly

when you reverse or pull forward do u head it come undone?>

yep, just the rear disks and pads sticking together by a film of rust.

You could just leave it in gear instead of using the hand break.

Everyone gets it, as soon as you pull away you should get a little clunk which is the pads being freed from the disk.

Thanx peeps that has answerd that little query,i have the car going into Renault tomorrow for a anoying knock from the front off-side wheel sorting out and i was going to mention the handbrake but i neednt bother now.

thanx again

Mine does this too... They may all do it but it cant do the the discs/pads any good surely?! I had it happen with my old alfa 146 (rear discs as well) 3 years ago in the winter but this time they stayed stuck... nice £300 bill... at Christmas too!

My car is parked on the drive, on a slight hill, so i get this every morn. Nowt to worry about. Also find I get a slight clunk from the clutch (you can feel it through the peddle) once ive moved a few yards/fully released peddle.

Anyone else get this?
