182 intake

  182
I am looking to improve things on the intake of my 182, What do you guys recomend? There seems to be so much choice on the market (BMC K+N Pipercross, Green) Are any of these any goo? They also seem to range in price from £30 for a panel filter to £250 for a carbon fibre sealed system. Which one should I go for I am a little confussed:S , can any one help?:)

If it was me I would get an ITG panel filter in the standard box and run a larger diameter air feed to it. Say 70mm. You will be looking at about £60 to do this.

Will this give me good gains? It seems a very cost effect way of doing it. Will I not get better gains from some thing like the maxigen kit? What is the benifit of using a ITG panel over a Pipercross or K+N?

Thanks for your help

ITG isn't any better than K&N or Green for panels...it just seems to be the choice of filter on here.

If you have £400 to spend the Maxogen is a nice piece of kit but on it's own without mapping etc isn't that cost effective.

I would just drop a good panel filter in the OE box then go for exhaust and intake mods (manifold match):)
