182 manifold question

I understand there are possibly lots of threads on this but using taptalk I cannot see them my question is is there any gains over a 182 manifold and link pipe for a 172 that has a decat on it all ready the car has also got ph 1 induction and matched inlets

No major gains to be had really, and it's far more work than you think to fit one,

only worth doing if the engine is out / head is off IMO

most worth while mod I done probably on par with an RS Tuner, only worth it if you can do it yourself though!

Yours was a freak. I swear you're the only person who thinks it made a big difference, mine did a couple of bhp and 1 lb ft

gained nearly 20hp and 15lbft, 20lbft midrange when fitted with matched inlets!

Tbf I did the gear box on the floor so the work involved doesn't bother me that much but if it makes no difference then may as well leave it I pulled 176 at tdf with a misfire last time and didn't get it mapped because of it missing but ok

tbh id rather do a gearbox any day than a 182 manifold its a ***** of a job, if I was doing it again id just take the engine out!
