182 mapping?

  e92 + E46 M3 + Cup
Really depends what your looking for, If your expecting breath taking performance then maybe not, But if your looking to really improve the drivability then yes, when we're building our RS works package (some time ago now) the 182 responded best to the calibration work over matched inlets/ JMS induction kit (v6 airbox set-up)

I've owned and driven an unmapped then k-tec re-mapped 182 AND an unmapped then RS-Tuner mapped 172 and can honestly say its the best mod i've made to both.

Improves driveablity, sorts out the lumpy idle, increases low down torque making the car pull harder lower down the rev range and also improves mpg slightly!

If you're considering it, buy an RS-Tuner - Map you're car then sell it on. The cheapest and IMO best value for money way of noticeably improving the performance of your car.

If you go down the RS-Tuner route, excluding the cost of the unit your map will only cost ~£70.. which is a f'ckin bargain tbh!

  182
mapping should give you about 8bhp & 10lb/ft but most importantly this gain is pretty much right across the rev range and the 5k "power kick" is smoothed out. On my third clio, had the first two remapped and 182 currently isn't, feels gutless below 5k can't wait to get it sorted. Outright foot to the floor performance isn't noticed but general driving you can really feel the benefit of the extra torque low down & smoothness.

I would say its definatly worth doing. Its mid range power it really make the difference and compliments a set of matched inlets nicely.

Well worth getting it mapped, my 182 felt more urgent but the biggest thing for me was the increased throttle response!! looking back to standard map on the 182 throttle response felt really lethargic. Look into Rstuner www.fastchip.nl

I agree. My Trophy wasnt mapped but we mapped my cup and the difference is massive. The cup just feels so much more willing and loves to be driven hard!! :D

We have had great feedback from our customers too.
