182 no electrics/start any ideas

it unlocked the other day turned the ignition on then nothing have tested the battery etc all ok, im getting 12v to starter and fuse box in engine bay but no dash lights interior lights or any electrics for that matter except that red led by gear stick is permanently lit until ignition is turned on!!!!all fuses seem ok.

any ideas??????

Tried the spare key mate?

Your key could have failed meaning the immobiliser is stuck on.

Either that or maybe the decoder ring.

even if they key is not hear the car, the led should flash ant not be constant. You have an immobiliser issue i believe.

that light that is stuk on is not the immobilisor light and i dont hav any interior lights etc nothin to do wit the key

So there's no clock, no courtesy light...nothing...?

Sounds like a battery issue to me but you say you've checked that?

Check the main -ve to the engine/chassis from the battery.

checked the battery mate and all the earths as far as i can see my conclusion is leadin towards the uch????
