182 not starting, esp light on

Not driven my 182 for about two weeks and went to start it to take for an MOT but it just clicks and the esp and serv light comes on, not even trying to turn over.
It has a fairly new battery but I've put it on charge and it showed about 11volts, I'm not into electrics but could that be all it is? Oh and the clock has reset.

Any help much appreciated folks.[emoji4]

sounds like a flat batery to me.

Battery should float at about 12.6v

Give it a good charge and try again

Really hope it is mate, my bike did the same thing this weekend but that turned out to be the negative terminal working loose

I'd say the battery too. Sounds very similar to what happened to mine.

Got a lift to Halfords, bought a new one and all was good again.

Bit of a pita as I've got all the parts ready to take it to get the belts dephaser etc. done as well as the mot. Don't know why really, not driven it for probably 3 weeks.

See if it will jump start if youve got some leads if you dont want to wait for the battery to charge

If so take it back if it is faulty afterwards

Right so went out this morning and same thing happened. Interestingly the central locking flashed the hazards but didn't unlock first time and then when I locked it it beeped 3 times

Bit of an update, the abs, serv and esp are lit up and not going out I've checked the fuses that are related to them in the passenger side except there is no esp one.
One thing to mention is that I do have a cracked abs ring on the passenger side I need to replace.

Will be nothing to do with the ABS ring. Have you tried bumping it?

That just means the alarm/central locking has been reset. Mine does it when the battery dies.

Just have to unlock, open the door and then close and lock again.

Problem solved, even an overnight charge wasn't enough. Set of jump leads on and boom. Only left it a few weeks unused, for a fairly new Bosch battery have to wonder if it's knackered.

take battery back or ring bosch
Serial number will know how old it is for a replacement

Checked the alternator is charging it?

Should read around 14.4v when charging

Took it in for the belts etc. to be done last night and after a run it seems to be starting fine now so some power is being put back into it but I'll check it when I get it back.
Think it's time to sell unfortunately due to my new van and not using it.
