182 Rear suspension

I just got my 182, and ordered some coilover for it today from ktec, i rang my mate up whos a mechanic to see when he was about to fit them for me, and he said he thinks there on a torsion bar, and he doesnt like doing torsion bars (which i can understand after my saxo) is this right or is he just being an complete idiot?

No torsion bars on Mk2 and Mk3 clio's if we are being picky Mk1's had them though.

thank god for that, i was starting to worry then, 182bhp with a torsion bar i couldnt imagine the handling being anywhere near as good as it is! cheers guys, i can ring him back and tell him to stop being an pansy and help me then lol.

Its not your mate need not worry dead easy the back just undo the shock lift the car spring will fall out put the new one back lower the car and botl shock back on etc.

A torsion beam and a torsion bar to two different things.
