182 Running in

Just wandering if any1 has any thoughts on running in a new 182. Mines done 300mile now and I was thinkin of takin it easy up to the first 1000miles, but a friend who works as a Renault mechanic reckons they dont need any special teatment when new and to give it a good thrashing. Seems harsh to me!!

Just make sure it's fully warmed up. Then drive it hard, but don't labour it or hold at high revs.

Thanks very much for thats its just the news I was hoping for dont think I cud hace nursed it for much longer.

I have got another question though, I had to travel a god way to get the car as my local dealer cudnt match the price, but can I still go to my local dealer for warranty problems or can they refuse to see it if they didnt sell it

Any dealer mate,they can get a shirty cause you didn't buy it from them.But just ignore them.

^^^ if its a renault dealer then they can take your warrenty issues... I would expect all across the country to do so.. But make sure they dont try to con you out of them paying for it as they will try.

Thats handy didnt fancy havin to trek across the country to get the car sorted, bit gutted thats its givin trouble already though

ive had mine for 6 days now and im the same

are you sure the sound isnt the abs doing a self test? seem other people with similar simptoms to yours

Havnt heard of that B4 guess it could be like I say it only does it afta the car has been switched off 4 a while
