182 'Serv' light on.

Hi all,

I bought my Clio about 1 month ago. It has done 64k and was last serviced at 58k at a main Renault dealer.

Its just done a 400 mile round trip (driven pretty hard) and the 'serv' light has come on. I'm going to check the oil tomorrow morning to see if that might be causing it to come on.

Are there any other common faults that can cause this light to come on?

Any help would be much appreciated.

It could be anything... rain/light sensor, door switch, reel sensor or just an electrical connection having a bad week. Needs CLIP time to say i'm afraid as i doubt a generic P code would have been flagged.
