182 Cup & Meg 225 F1 Team

My Megane has developed a miss-fire and is with Renault, now my 182's engine management light has come on. There's no really drivability issues, however on idle the engine sounds like it's knocking; possibly miss-firing?? The throttle pent when the engine is off and ignition is on emits a high pitch sound.
Anyone any ideas???
