182 - Top Dash Removal

Got all the screws out I think, it just seems to be stuck at the a pillars??

grip it and rip it?

or can someone point me at the guide as I've tried to search the guides section to no avail

Remove the pillar plastics then grab the dashboard by the rear grills (the ones closest to the windscreen on the top) and pull towards you . May take a bit of a good pull but that's the way to do it.

To remove the a pillar plastics - pull the rubber door seal away down the A pillars - pull the top of the a pillar plastic away and look through the gap - there's a clip you press with a flat bladed screwdriver then they just pop off

Christ, what a job! bring back the mk1 please, 5 small screws and off it comes!

Did you remove the 3 screws from the vent on the top facing the windscreen?

Only just read this. If I would have seen it earlier I would have popped down and helped. Are you still trying to do it?

nah, sorted it I'd got all the screws as said no worries, just didn't realise the A pillar trims had to come off first, all sorted now cheers folks
