182 tuning?

Alrite Guys im new to clio sports coming from fiat coupe 20vt to a 182 cup.
I am looking to get 200bhp any ideas would induction decat and remap do this?
 
Do some searches. For 200BHP you'll most likely need ITBs although it is supposedly possible with a different single inlet.

Cams, decat, matched inlets, remap, IK and exhaust should get you mid 190s AFAIK.

Im only looking to spend 1k on engine mods so would be CDA,Remap and decat surely that would give 10bhp at least?

for 1k assuming your engine is a good one to start i would go down a panel filter route maybe look at better cold air feeds, matched inlets, decat and exhaust and remap. with a second hand exhaust you may be just over 1k and thats about as much as you can do without going down the head off cams or itbs but were talking big money now. just do the above basics on the clio lump maybe 195ish?

No but just been serviced so you would hope it would have the 182 ps?
Regards to the remap living in Scotland is there any specialist up here or just RS tuning and ktech?

My 182 Cup has an ITG Maxogen filter, BTB exhaust,Yozzasport de-cat, Angelwoks matched inlets,Cat 420 cams and was mapped by RS Tuning afterwards.

It only produced 181 bhp!:dapprove:

Although since the tensioner has been adjusted correctly it's certainly keen to pull on cam.

I imagine circa 190 bhp now.:D

Your gonna need ITB's if you wish to crack 200 bhp.

aye, shcrick cams, ported inlets, decat, ITG panel filter, RS Tuning map and i came away with 176bhp :O started with 156 though so theres nothing wrong with the mods, just have a weak engine to start with.

With 1k to spend your looking at inlets (get in on the current group buy save £££), decat, RS tuner, cat back, filter with CAF

First of all though get to a rolling road so you know where your start from, then go back later and admire your gains

Why did you sell the Fiat Coupe? :)

I'd recommend the following:

Second hand exhaust and decat - £250
Panel Filter (don't bother with anything else!) - £35
Inlets - £150
Custom remap - £250

Spend the change on the suspension and racing lessons. :)
 
If you want to make a decent gain in power and assuming the lump is okay to begin with then standard everything bar decat, panel filter, Cat 428's and a map. Should see getting on for 190bhp then and a much more useable power band.

To save a new post, what is the deal with matching inlets on the 182? Worth doing? I had this done on my 172 with noticable gains. Thanks

I dont think the gains are that noticable on the 182 as they come with RS inlets anyway so you prob wont notice much performance gains but improved MPG.

172 inlets were pants anyway so thats why the gains are more noticable!!
