182 Uprated Speakers; have u really got

In the vein of the Tyres and now suspension queries, those of you with the CD changer, do you really know if you have the uprated speakers (as promised)???

One of my friends reckons he has not, and is getting Renault to look into it...

not just the cd changer that doesnt automatically get upgraded speakers. You have to buy the sound pack to get the lot I think.

CD chagner was £300 extra
Sound upgrade was £350 (with mention of 4x40 watt hu)

However, my dealer said the sound pack didnt exist as the system was upgraded to the cabasse 4x40 watt system anyway.

Even if it was upgraded, it would still be junk.

yes thats right, on the 182/172 the car already comes with the sound pack, 4X40W of power, awesome.

I got the sound pack. The speakers sound good but cant compare with the standard, the head unit is pure sh*te and has no functions at all on it.

Not sure about the sound pack (might have been listed in their general clio options list, where you can also get roof bars)...

BUT I definately remember 300 squid getting you a CD changer, AND Upgraded Speakers.

I asked the dealer, and he said it wasnt worth it.

Met someone with a 172 the other day, his car came with a Changer as Standard, and Alpine speakers... but he got his car just before the prices were dropped...

God this forum really bores me sometimes. If its not tyres or suspension then its something else.

I have got the suspension, spoiler and sounds packs. The sound in my 182 is better than the one in my 172. The handling is better than my 172.

Im happy.

I dont have a clue mate! I got 30% discount so I just asked for all the extras.

Ive just checked the renault brochure and im talking bollox! the only stereo upgrade is the 6 CD changer, it already has (and I quote) 4 x 40w Cabasse single CD RDS radio with 6 speakers and remote control

the CD changer is Alpine though with a Renault sticker on it

Its massively better than the 172 IMO.
