I think Ford were aiming for a slightly different market with the ST.

The Clios are obviously very well-reviewed, and as far as I can see Ford decided to produce something that cost less to insure, rather than driectly compete with the best

I got my arse handed me by a stripped out ST on the m6 a few weeks back, he slowed down and came off at the same junction as me and proceeded to do the same in the twisties also. Not sure what mods he had but i doubt it was standard.

Must have been something impressive under the bonnet then. Even the ones tuned to 200bhp aren't any quicker than standard RS clios.

Depends on driver i think and what speed were taking the cars to.

One my pal has doesnt do too bad in a straight line against me, il pull on it yes to *0 but not by the extreme amounts iv seen people say on here, round roundabouts, bends etc i dont really have a chance but maybe thats down to how much hes willing to push it against what im not.

I would love to see vids of these so called cainings on here to see what people atually class as a caining!!! Lol
