182 Warranty

Just a quick question really, I bought an import 182, it is a europen import (from Paris according to book) do I have to now inform renault UK to claim 3 year warranty, or will I automatically be covered???? Asked guy from garage, he said no, but this is same guy who told me there was no running in period so I thought I would check on here!!!!

Ring and register it with Renault UK and they will ask for a copy of some docs and send you a letter and a hand book confirming your warranty.

All the way from France ‘eh? If you believed UK dealers, they just pop out of the sky above the UK!!

Cheers Lee, thanks for the help, will sort all this when I get V5 off DVLA.

Mine had to go in for work before I had the V5, but the dealer didnt have any issues, they just entered it onto the system and checked that the service book had the correct VIN for the car.

Ive had numerous warrantly jobs carried out on mine over the last year and never once had a problem with it being an EU import, nor have I needed to provide and other paperwork.

Touch wood, no problems yet, but have definately made up my mind which reno garage NOT to goto, Reg Vardy Warrington,!!!! Went there today to ask for tool for removing Wheel Hub (dont Ask, Im a dick) Asked for the tool for a 182, his next question was, GET THIS "WHATS A 182!!!!!!!"

That sounds about right for the service guys. I once commented that I liked the look of the Cup out the front and was thinking of changing mine, even though Id only had it 3 months. The service guy said, "Cup, is that the blue one?"
