182 xenon headlight fault

my drivers side head light wont work swapped bulb and pack on the back over from other light but still wont work just replaced the light with a second hand light from ebay cause it was knackered and i cannot get it to work didnt work before i changed the light but just thought it was the bulb any 1 any ideas

Ballast mate most likely I had similar problems to you I thought it was a igniter or a bulb but turned out it was the ballast

were is the ballast pack its only the drivers side light i already have the bumper off broke 2 spare bulbs i had messing about with it aswell am so close to scrapping the thing and buying a £500 banger to drive about in

It's under the headlight unit it is mate its like a silver box where abouts are you mate.

am in edinburgh m8 a think we have solved it now tho was a combo of dodgy bulb wire and fuse a think

That's good news mate my ballast went on mine right pain to find one at a decent price.
